Dog Licenses

Dog Licenses are available at the Rose Township Treasurers Office. Licenses can also be purchased at many veterinary offices, at the Oakland County Pet Adoption Center
1200 N. Telegraph Rd Building 42E in Pontiac, or online at oakgov.com/petadoption

Beginning June 1, people who have not purchased a current year dog license are considered delinquent.Starting on June 2, Oakland County Animal Control Census Team workers will begin going door to door incommunities in an attempt to bring the public into compliance with the State Law.
Residents found with dogs that are not licensed will be issued citations, and given a time frame in which to comply.

The State of Michigan requires ALL dogs over 4 months to be current with rabies vaccine and to have a Michigan dog license, failure to comply may result in a misdemeanor ticket. You may purchase a one or three year dog license.

A license must be purchased within 30 days of:
Purchasing or acquiring a new dog
A puppy turning 4 months of age
Becoming a Michigan resident
The expiration date of the prior license
 
How to apply: 
City or Township Hall 
Please provide a valid rabies vaccination certificate.

Mail a stamped self-addressed envelope along with a valid rabies vaccination certificate to:
